"I just installed a rear mount CURT #13534 hitch on my new 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, I am 73 years old and over the years I have installed many hitches and they were always a challenge because a custom hitch was an approximate fit and I had to also drill some of the mounting holes, most took the better part of the day and also required some welding just to get it done. "I chose the CURT hitch because of the extra mounting points, too. I liked the idea of more tongue weight and towing capacity, even though the Pat isn't designed for the weight capacities of the hitch (I have no plans to exceed the Pat's limits; I just like to have more than I need!) I haven't had any muffler clearance issues or rattles with the CURT hitch. The extra drilling for the two additional mounting points wasn't a big deal, just make sure you are prepared for the burning hot slivers of sharp metal that rain down on you while drilling! I had the small gap between the hitch ears and the Pat's frame, but I slipped a large washer in place and everything pulled together tight. The fit & finish on the CURT hitch is top quality - well worth the extra few bucks."
